Mothers' Union

The Mothers’ Union meets on the 3rd Thursday of each month at St Mark’s for a talk or social gathering such as the summer lunch. Members attend Deanery and Diocesan Festival services, Quiet Days and other activities. MU Corporate Communion is held every month. There is a great sense of companionship and support and quite a lot of laughter too.

You don’t have to be a mother to join but are required to be baptised and supportive of the MU’s aims and objectives which can be summed up as supporting Christian care for families worldwide.

The MU funds many projects in this country and worldwide which helps people to enrich their lives including improved health education, literacy, numeracy, parenting, mother and toddler groups, prison visiting, promoting Christian family life and much more. The MU is a world-wide fellowship of 4 million members in 83 countries.
