Highcliffe Friends In Need

Highcliffe Friends in Need was formed over 40 years ago with the aim of providing, for a small voluntary donation to cover the drivers expenses, transport for Highcliffe residents to medical appointments throughout the area.

It is run by a small committee. There are five Co-ordinators who each take phone calls one day a week between the hours of 9.30 and 12.30. the Co-ordinators, who are listed in ‘Parish News’, other local publications and at the Medical Centre then liaise with the volunteer drivers and clients.

The work is financed by voluntary contributions. Any surplus is donated to local Medical Charities with an occasional cream tea for clients.
